Our Goal for 2015: Serve More Babies and Seniors

Austin Diaper Bank has provided over 100,000 diapers to babies and seniors in need since its founding in summer of 2013. Our first goal was to raise enough money to be able to have our own space. In May 2014, we achieved that and signed a lease on a small, but very important office space in north central Austin. This space has allowed us to have volunteer groups come in to help and we can store up to 40,000 diapers for the community. While that sounds like a lot of diapers, it is nowhere near the 250,000 diapers we need to distribute annually to be eligible for free diapers from Huggies and to attempt to meet the need in the Austin area.

For 2015, the next step is to provide professional, full-time leadership for the organization. Since its inception, founder Beverly Hamilton has been running the organization for next to nothing. To be able to expand and give the organization the time it needs, a full-time director is necessary. We are raising $50,000 in the next couple of months for this reason. You can directly impact babies, toddlers and senior citizens in Central Texas by giving what you can afford this holiday season. No gift is too small. Every gift matters. Be a part of something larger than yourself and you can say that your helped Austin Diaper Bank back when it was small. :) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! Click here before December 31 for that tax deduction.
