Be the Do-Gooder in Your Workplace and Feel the Karma High: Host a Diaper Drive

With the holidays just around the corner, it is the perfect time to plan how you will give thanks for your many blessings. A diaper drive is an easy, no hassle way to directly affect the lives of people in your community. There are an estimated 12,000 Austin children in a diaper need situation. Just follow these steps to be the rockstar in your workplace, your friends and family, and in the eyes of Austin Diaper Bank:

1. Choose a timeframe and theme. A week is good but some places will do a month.  "Give Thanks, Give Diapers" is a standard theme but we are sure you can be more creative than that.

2. Clear the thing with HR/the boss, obviously. You might have to alter your step 1. You might want to set goals or have departments compete to make it even more fun. If you want your diapers to go to specific organization(s), we'd be happy to arrange that.

3. Announce the drive: at a staff meeting and/or whatever fits your work culture. Someone from the diaper bank would be happy to talk about the particulars of where the diapers go etc. Work that theme, get excited! (We get excited to hear about these plans too, so keep us in the loop!)

4. Now you are off to the races, collecting diapers. It's so rewarding to see them pile up! Take photos. Celebrate the success by sharing your results with your co-workers during the drive.

5. Email/call Austin Diaper Bank to transport diapers or have us pick them up. THERE! You helped kids and senior citizens in five easy steps. Santa will be very good to you this year!
